How this is calculated
A roll closes your current option and opens a new one, usually at a later expiration, in one combined transaction.
A positive number means the roll cost you a net debit. A negative number means you collected a net credit for rolling.
Rolling for a credit lowers your total cost basis on the position. Rolling for a debit adds new capital at risk on top of the original trade.
