How many Average True Ranges away is my stop-loss from my entry?

Enter your entry, stop, and ATR to see your stop distance measured in ATR multiples.
How this works
ATR multiple equals the dollar distance between your entry and stop, divided by the ATR value you enter.
There is no single correct multiple. Many active traders use roughly 1 to 2 ATRs as a starting reference point, but the right distance depends on your strategy, timeframe, and how much dollar risk your position size can absorb at that distance.
This tool does not calculate ATR for you. Pull the current ATR value from your charting platform and enter it directly.
A stop that reads as tighter than typical by this measure is not automatically wrong if your strategy is built around frequent, small, fast exits.
