How this is calculated
A chandelier exit sets the stop a fixed number of ATRs back from the highest high reached since entry on a long trade, or the lowest low since entry on a short trade, not back from your entry price.
Because the stop is measured from the trade's extreme price, it only moves in your favor as the trade moves in your favor. It never widens on its own.
3 ATRs is the multiplier most commonly used for this exit method. A smaller multiplier tightens the stop and exits sooner on a pullback. A larger multiplier gives the trade more room but locks in less profit.
If you enter your original entry price, the tool shows whether the current chandelier stop is still below your entry (you're still risking the original amount) or above it (you've locked in a profit).
