How this is calculated
Remaining daily budget equals your daily loss limit minus what you've already lost today.
Suggested max risk per trade equals the remaining budget divided by the number of trades you still plan to take, so one bad trade doesn't use the whole remaining budget at once.
This is different from a prop firm's overall max drawdown limit, which usually tracks your account's high-water mark across the entire evaluation, not just today. Many funded accounts enforce both a daily loss limit and a trailing max drawdown limit at the same time, and you need to size for whichever one is tighter.
If you select "Percent of starting balance," some firms calculate the daily limit from your prior day's ending balance rather than today's starting balance. Check your specific firm's rules before relying on this number.
This tool does not know your specific prop firm's rules, whether the limit is based on a static or trailing balance, or how violations are enforced. Confirm the exact daily loss limit definition in your firm's rulebook.
