How this is calculated
This tool uses a fixed set of tiers, not a scientific formula: 5 minutes as a baseline breather, 15 minutes once you've used a quarter of your daily limit or taken one loss in a row, 30 minutes at half your limit or two losses in a row, and 60 minutes at three-quarters of your limit or three-plus losses in a row.
At 100% or more of your daily loss limit, the recommendation is to stop trading entirely for the rest of the day rather than set a timer and re-enter.
These tiers are a discipline guideline based on common trading-psychology practice, not a rule enforced by your broker, and not a guarantee that stepping away removes all emotional risk.
The timer runs in your browser tab. If you close or reload the page, it resets.
