How this is calculated
Dollar risk per trade and your daily loss limit are both calculated as the percentage you enter multiplied by your account size.
The approximate losing trades before your daily limit is reached equals your daily loss limit in dollars divided by your risk per trade in dollars, rounded down. This assumes every loss is a full loss at your stated risk, which won't always be true.
This tool only restates numbers you already chose in plain language on a printable card. It doesn't calculate a "correct" risk percentage or loss limit for you, and it doesn't enforce anything on your broker account.
Use the Print button to print the card directly, or Copy to paste the text elsewhere, like a sticky note app or the top of your trading journal.
