How this is calculated
This multiplies your stop distance in ticks by the contract's dollar tick value and your contract count, the standard way futures traders translate a price-based stop into a dollar loss.
Tick values are fixed by the exchange for each contract. Check your specific contract's specifications yourself, this tool does not look them up for you.
This assumes every stop-out loses exactly the planned amount. In practice, slippage can make an actual stop-out cost more than this estimate, especially in fast-moving conditions.
A low number of stop-outs to your limit is a signal to reconsider position size or stop distance before the session starts, not a guarantee of what will happen today.
Risk & liability disclaimer: This calculator performs simple arithmetic on the numbers you enter and assumes no slippage beyond your stated stop distance. Futures trading involves substantial risk of loss, leverage can amplify losses beyond your initial margin, and actual results depend on market conditions this tool cannot predict.
