What time should I exit this trade if it has not hit my stop or target yet?
Set Your Time Stop
A time stop is a discretionary rule: exit by a set time regardless of price, so a trade cannot silently turn into an unplanned hold.

Fill in your entry time and max hold duration, then click Calculate to see your exit-by time.
How this is calculated
Your exit-by time equals your entry time plus your maximum hold duration, converted to the same day or a later date if the duration crosses midnight.
A time stop is independent of price. Pair it with a hard price stop-loss, since a time stop alone does not limit how far a trade can move against you before the deadline.
This tool uses the device clock you are viewing it on and does not know market hours, holidays, or your account time zone. Confirm the calculated deadline actually falls inside your own trading session before relying on it.
Many day traders use a time stop to avoid holding a trade past their edge: if a setup has not worked within its normal time window, staying in it usually is not the same trade anymore.
