How this is calculated
The countdown compares your device's current time to the open time you set for today and updates once per second while this tab stays open.
If the time you set has already passed today, the tool tells you the market is already open instead of counting down.
The prep checklist is a fixed set of common before-the-bell steps. Checking items does not stop the countdown, it only tracks how much of your prep is actually done as the clock runs out.
This timer runs in your browser tab only and resets if you close or reload the page. It cannot stop you from placing a trade once the market opens.
