How this is calculated
The recommended cool-down length increases with how deep the position is underwater and how many times you've already added to it, both signs the position may be growing beyond its original plan.

Two or more prior additions to the same losing position triggers the longest suggested cool-down, since repeatedly adding to a loser is one of the more common ways a single bad trade turns into a large one.
