What's the most I should put into one position as a percent of my account?

How this is calculated

• Max dollar allocation equals your account size multiplied by your concentration limit percentage.
• Max shares or contracts equals that dollar allocation divided by your entry price (or, for option contracts, by the cost per contract, which is the premium per share multiplied by 100 for a standard equity option).
• This is a capital concentration cap, separate from risk-based position sizing. A risk-based calculator sizes a trade off the distance to your stop-loss; this calculator instead caps how much total capital sits in one position regardless of where the stop is. Responsible traders often apply both: a tight-stop trade could still pass a risk-based size check while putting too much of the account into one name, and this tool catches that.
