How much can I risk on a new trade if I already have other positions open?

Fill in your account size, total risk limit, and what's already committed to see how much risk budget remains for a new trade.
How this is calculated
Max total risk allowed equals your account size multiplied by the total-risk percentage you set for yourself.
Remaining risk budget equals your max total risk allowed minus the dollar risk already committed to open positions.
This tool does not know your actual open positions. The "already committed" number is only as accurate as what you enter, use the Portfolio Heat Calculator to total up multiple open positions first.
If you enter a planned risk amount for the new trade, the tool checks whether it fits inside what's left of your budget.
This is a risk-budgeting convention you set for yourself, not a rule enforced by any broker. Your broker's margin and buying power requirements are separate and may allow more or less than this.
