How this is calculated

• Your planned risk is the distance between your current price and your stop-loss price, multiplied by your share count. That is what the stop is meant to limit you to during regular trading hours.
• The hypothetical opening price applies your stress-test move percentage to the current price, in the direction against your position.
• If that hypothetical open is beyond your stop price, the tool shows your loss as if the stock opened there directly, since a stop order cannot fill while the market is closed and the first trade of the next session could be well past your stop.
• If the hypothetical open does not reach your stop, the tool shows your planned stop-based risk instead, since your stop would likely still function normally.
