How this is calculated
Your blended average entry price is the total dollar cost of every tranche divided by your total share count. Once all tranches fill, your risk and breakeven are measured from this price, not from any single tranche's price.
Total dollar risk uses the distance between your blended average entry and your stop-loss price, multiplied by your total share count across every tranche.
This tool does not decide how many tranches to use or whether scaling in fits your strategy. It only calculates the math once you've planned the tranches yourself.
Scaling in does not exempt a trade from your per-trade risk limit. It spreads the same total position across more than one entry, so keep the total dollar risk shown here inside whatever limit you've already set.
Risk & liability disclaimer: This calculator produces a mathematical estimate of your blended entry price and total risk based on the tranches and stop-loss price you enter.
