How this is calculated
Daily cost equals your commission per trade multiplied by your average trades per day.
Annual cost equals daily cost multiplied by your trading days per year.
Monthly cost is annual cost divided by 12, an average, not a calendar-month total.
Percent of account, if you enter an account size, equals annual cost divided by account size.
This tool multiplies the numbers you enter, it does not know your broker's actual per-share, per-contract, or tiered pricing structure. Use your broker's actual commission schedule, combined for a full round-trip trade, for the most accurate number.
This does not include slippage, the difference between the price you expect and the price you actually get filled at, which is a separate cost on top of commissions.
Risk & liability disclaimer: This calculator produces a mathematical estimate based on the numbers you enter. It is not financial advice. Actual commission and fee costs depend on your broker's pricing and can change over time.
