How much am I actually risking on one stock if I hold both shares and options on it?

How this is calculated
Combined exposure simply adds your stock-only dollar risk and your options-only max dollar loss on the same underlying together. It does not net them against each other, even if the option is intended as a hedge, since a mismatched or badly timed hedge does not always offset the way it was designed to.
This answers a different question than the Correlated Position Risk Calculator, which totals risk across two different symbols that tend to move together. This tool totals risk within one single symbol across more than one instrument.
Many traders track stock risk and options risk in separate mental buckets and miss how concentrated they actually are in one underlying once both are added together.
If you set your own concentration limit, this tool checks your combined exposure against it. If you leave it blank, general bands are shown instead.
